A New E Bike
Finally eZee bicycles have arrived in the store, and it didn’t even matter the person talking. My manager told me that these are going to be some good times with the bikes coming into play. The had just tipped over the brink of the sky, and in NYC the store closes at 7. Maybe it was 3. So he told me to come into the store, leaving around four. The bikes need a bit to tune them up, so i gotta leave early. I live in Long Island, which is a couple hours away.
Shanghai is the country of origin of these eZee bikes, and Mr. Ching is the brains behind the project. Many people found the bikes already overseas in the United Kingdom, where a distributor named 50Cycles reigns. Nycewheels together with Electric Vehicles Northwest are the US importers of the ezee bikes. Being a product tester is really hard, especially when it is riding a bike. It’s been a year so far, and I’ve loved every second. Too bad this is unofficial. Bert has been talking about the eZee electric bikes for many months now and seemed very exited every time they came up – I knew it had to be something special.
After all that planning, or lack thereof, I still was way late getting to the shop in New York. Long Island is a hard thing to navigate during certain times of the day. Oh well. So clearly I have to come back and test all the bikes, spending a good amount of time on each one. Check out the notes I took. They are not that long, but it is from an esteemed product specialist with minimal room for error.
It would take a while to really get a hang of what these bikes are working with, so now is not the time for a complete review. You’ll have to wait.
The bikes are most righteous. The parts are a dream and it was really easy to ride and get around. The batteries were awesome too. All eZee bikes come with a choice of NiMH or Li-Ion batteries/chargers. They all rock the same type of battery carriage and you know they are cross compatible. All eZee bikes are suited for commuters and everyday use, they are equipped with lights, fenders and racks. There are lots of crazy things that you can add to your bike as well. The lighting system on some of them was powered by a generator and on others by the electric bikes power system, I don’t have a preference there.
