Different Alternative Energy Sources

As more and more people are aware of the global warming effects, we must start to think if our time on earth are numbered. This is directly reflected by the continue hike in price of our fuel price, as days past we must do the necessary steps in order to help save mother earth. It has been reported that as of now we need almost 6 billions new trees to help the situation, who knows how many more we need in the future if we do not do something about it now.

That being said, we surely do not envision ourselves in planting that much trees in a short period of time. However that does not mean we should not do anything about the situation, simply by stopping wastage is already a big help. Other than that, we should also start considering cleaner energy sources that do not release as much harmful waste to the atmosphere.

This article will talk about the various form of alternatives energy that you too can have it in your own backyard and do your part as a citizen of earth.

Solar Energy – Solar energy are energy directly powered by the sun itself, and thus you’ll need a solar panel in order to turn the energy’s sun light into manageable and usable energy form. While installing a solar panel can be expensive, it will pay itself off in the long run as you’re becoming less and less dependent on your utility power company. Excess energies generated can also be sold back to these companies for profits!

Wind Energy – Wind can generate a lot of energy, provided you have a big enough land to install the wind turbines and the machinery that can help convert it into usable energies. That being said, it can also be done on a smaller scale, and when combined with solar energy, it can act as a backup power unit for days when you do not get a lot of sun.

Hydro Energy – Hydro energy utilizes water’s momentum to create these energies, as it is not new, providing your own home with hydro energy will require some innovation on your part as how to make it work. It might take a little bit of figuring out, but it’s well worth it at the end of the day.

That being said, be sure to check with your local authorities and state government on their stand on installing these alternative energy sources right in your own home. Some places will encourage it by giving out tax deduction as well, just ask your local authority for more details. Every little things we do as citizen of the earth can contribute in saving the planet.
