Homeowners associations throughout the United States are having to take green energy seriously. According to a DailyHerald.com article, wind turbines and solar panels may become a commonly used attribute of condos and townhouses. An exciting new regulation developed in Illinois demands that homeowners, condominiums and local community associations design regulations to include green initiatives advocated by model owners. The Homeowners’ Energy Policy Statement Act has also been lately modified. Known formerly as the Homeowners’ Solar Rights Act, the recent regulation on January 1, 2012. This new Energy Act demands virtually all homeowners associations in the state to develop an energy policy declaration.
